Mission
Guitar World Record is more than a record attempt.
It is a social and energetic phenomenon.
From the beginning, Leszek Cichonski's idea was to create a space where music stops being divided into stage and audience and becomes a shared experience. The record brings to life the idea of Uni-Vibe - Uniting Vibration of Music: a common vibration that connects people through sound.
Our mission is to:
Connect people through music
Regardless of age, experience, favorite style or worldview. On Wroclaw Market Square, children and seniors, amateurs and professionals, music school students and self-taught players meet and perform together.
Educate and develop musicality
The record has a strong educational dimension. We prepare instructional materials, workshops, tutorials and song arrangements that help thousands of people develop their musical skills. The event is preceded by Record Warm-Ups, workshops where Leszek Cichonski prepares participants for the record attempt.
For many participants, it is the first time they:
- learn the basic chords,
- start playing in a group,
- experience the power of making music together.
The record inspires schools, teachers and cultural centers to use guitar as a tool for integration and growth.
Build an open musical community
We create a space with no division between stage and audience. Everyone is a performer and a co-creator of the event. Every sound matters.
Uni-Vibe is the energy generated while playing together, listening to one another, and simply being TOGETHER in music.
Inspire people to act
The record often becomes the beginning of a musical journey. For many people it is the impulse to start a band, begin learning, return to an instrument after years, or step onto a stage.
We believe music is not a product.
It is a relationship.
It is a language you can speak without words.
It is the Uni-Vibe vibration through which we make the world better.
That is why May 1 is not only about the number of guitars.
It is about how many hearts begin beating in the same rhythm.
